To create very basic shapes, draw on cardboard and use a knife (not scissors) to cut it out.
Use super glue (or hot glue) to connect the pieces, but also use tape to ensure stability. If you want to bend your cardboard, make straight cuts on the surface with a knife to create more complicated or rounded shapes.
Build a grid-like structure out of cardboard pieces.
Next, tear apart paper. Mix PVA glue and water. Use a brush to apply the PVA Glue/Water mix onto the grid, add the paper on top, add another layer of PVA Glue/Water mix, then let it dry.
You can use markers and/or acrylic paint to add color.
